About the Author

Kevin Anthony is a Lawrence Neal Writers Award recipient, and a graduate of Hampton University. He’s a former researcher for the Hampton University Archives, most recently, a loan specialist with the U.S. Small Business Administration, and entrepreneur of Kevin Anthony, LLC.

Kevin Anthony is situated among a lengthened line of Washingtonians, being third-generation to a family, which participated in integrating a neighborhood, in the Southeastern section, of Washington DC well over fifty years ago. Kevin has sought education, in a plethora of cultural, and historic settings of the city, from music to museums, and art. As a compassionate thinker being among a broad foundation of disciples of the clergy, writers, civilians in government, school administrators, educators, and medical professionals has been encouraging along the way. A former student of the District of Columbia Public School System, earning a diploma from the newly renamed August Wilson High School.  Kevin matriculated through a historically black university and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology.

In early spring Mr. Anthony received his Certificate of Registration from The U.S. Library of Congress Office of Copyright for the text of And So, I Scribe.

And So, I Scribe has been featured at The Tucson Arizona Festival of Books an oasis for book lovers at the University of Arizona campus hosting exhibits, presentations, and panel discussions across a wide variety of genres. This annual event has gathered more than 135,000 attendees in the past, making it an excellent opportunity to highlight my figurative collection to potential readers.

Kevin’s work has also been featured at The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, the largest book festival in the northern hemisphere. Literature is showcased to 150,000+ Southern Californians, 500+ authors, and 400+ exhibitors who make the L.A. Times Festival of Books an annual tradition.

Recently Mr. Anthony received an invitation to be the featured guest Poet for an annual poetry event with a local distinguished school Robert R. Gray Elementary in collaboration with the Prince George’s Continental Society, Incorporated.

This coming autumn season, Kevin has been invited to continue with his second book signing on the campus of his alma mater Hampton University. He’ll also be featured at the Author’s Table Bazaar during the historical university’s homecoming.
